After getting to work my manager called
She said she saw my mug shot and all.
She said “I was the sweetest person on the planet
Besides Tom that she knew
I wouldn’t hurt anyone which is true.”
I worked with old people at my job everyday
They were not afraid of me, I had to say.
The system makes you feel bad right from the start
Getting arrested by a sheriff who didn’t do his part.
Not hearing my side and what took place
He could of figured it was a setup with no
Blood on my keys or my door not a trace.
But of course I had to take the blame
Filled with months of looks and shame.
Luckily people knew I was a children’s book author
And knew I wouldn’t hurt a flea
But of course the lady just said “Arrest her”
And now I have a felony…
Even if it is off the public record
The sheriff and the FBI see
This is such a tragedy.
