C-old dark night is over,
R-ise of the sun begins;
I-t's a beautiful morn,
E-vening shadow ends.
Z-one of cold dark night is nowhere in view;
L-onely twilight disappears into the forlorn blue.
P-ouring rain is gone,
E-ach coal cloud turns white;
R-ugged wind has faded
F-rom the beacon burning bright.
E-arly Thursday twenty-seventh April,
T-he dawn sets things aright;
U-sing the light and warmth,
A-fter the cold dark night.
