After The Argument Poem by Chad Shumate

After The Argument

Just because you don't understand, doesn't mean that it's wrong,
You are not perfect and I will be here forever long.

Saying it loud, doesn't make it right,
So when you raise your voice, that's just something that I don't like.

Keep your comments to yourself and watch your attitude,
Because the way that you are talking to me is just rude, dude.

During the heat of the battle, please no more friendly fire,
You are breaking my purple heart, allowing this to transpire.

I want this to be over, so to you I surrender,
Let's repair our relationship and I will be the mender.
With what I have just said, should be the drama ender.

I don't appreciate how things went,
But I'm still here after the argument.
