After Getting Out Of Jail Poem by Suzanna Chevalier

After Getting Out Of Jail

After getting out of jail I was a total wreck
I was uneasy felt like a frenzied mess.
Are they looking at me? Do they know?
My mug shot was up from the word go.
I look like a criminal who is to blame
Just because of a lady knew how to frame
Me.
All a vengeful game to the lady who put me in jail
Her deceitful plan worked without fail.
Now when I see a friend in Lake Worth town
I wondered if they saw my name in the newspaper
Which had gotten around.
I know the people I work for knew right away
The guy at the desk defended me all the way.
Thank goodness for people who believed my side
With them I did not had to be ashamed or hide.
