After All The Tears

The dark clouds in the sky looks as if it's gonna rain
Somehow it reminds me of the day you said good bye
And after all the tears, will we be okay again?
Or was your promise just a lie?

I always thought it was a dream come true
But since I've woken up, I understand
It was a dream come true in my own dreams
With nothing real except the end

I still remember you telling me to wait for you
But tell me who am I really waiting for?
It seems like you've changed so much lately
You don't even recognize me anymore

The dark clouds in the sky looks as if it's gonna rain
Somehow it reminds me of the day you said good bye
And after all the tears, will it be sunny again?
Or will it forever be dark until I die?

Poem of the Day

poet Charles Stuart Calverley

He stood, a worn-out City clerk —
Who'd toil'd, and seen no holiday,
For forty years from dawn to dark —
Alone beside Caermarthen Bay.
