African Queen Poem by Cassandra Boyd

African Queen

Rating: 5.0

Celebrate our birth, without us
life is one dimensional

Enjoy the touch of our soft hands
as we soothe your tense muscles

Inhale the intoxicating woman
scent of our sexuality

Sepia, pecan, cinnamon, ebony
hues on butter soft skin
Watch us melt

Witness the strength of our ancestors
as we fight our demons

Brandy colored eyes shining with laughter,
touch your heart; You’re drowning
in a murky pool

Love our quick wit and decisiveness,
our total mental capability

Marvel at the grace and style with
which we walk in and out
of your life.
