Affinity Poem by Sandra Feldman

Affinity

Is there an affinity,
Between the sea, the moon?
Yes, the tides keep singing,
Their ever haunting tune.

Is there an affinity,
Between mother and child?
Yes, the child is part of you,
The part that never dies.

Is there an affinity,
With everything we see?
Yes, there's a connection,
A silent unity.

Is there an affinity,
Between our lives and love?
Yes, it is the miracle,
We never tire of.
