Adventure Time

Adventure Time
come on, grab your friends
We'll go to very distant lands
Jake the dog and Fin the human
the fun never ends
Adventure Time'
I guess this is where I step in
Just a boy,14
A sense of adventure in my heart
while my brain is always a throw, a skip, a beat off
My life
I have really lived it up these past 14 years
with my best friend, with my brother
a magic dog who's also now a proud father
I became a legend by defeating 'The Farm'
I battled back and forth with death
I've rode crazy trains marked with a figure eight
close friends with a vampire queen from a sphere where no one can escape
What compels me
What forces me to follow through with the things I do
I guess I'm just living it up as a kid
but where I did I go
when I was doing everything I could to win the heart
of a princess of bubblegum
Where did I go
when I would sit huddled upon my treehouse floor
BMO trying to comfort me
while I held a lock of her hair in my hands
singing softly about my heart being in knots
Where did I go
right back into the fray
to chasing after the princess of flames
Man was she beautiful
Man was she out of this world
I...I never felt that way about anyone
I was peaked, I liked her
I was, I was curious but on edge
She made me forget how to breathe
yet she made me feel more intense
Was she dangerous
or was it my fear that she didn't know enough of the world
that someday she would set fire to everything
and I would have to combat the very beauty of disaster
I've fallen for
She made me forget how to breathe
and she made me forget how to speak
It took a cosmic owl to tell me
'You blew it'
for me to realize I really did
and I commenced my sense of being grey
but I've learned to pick myself back up, somehow
Still sometimes I wish I could carelessly
live a life like good ol' cinnamon bun
He just lives a life crazy antics
carefree life
while doing a front flip into a punch bowl
or attempting to learn acrobatics
being the lucky one to help flame princess run a kingdom
Adventure Time
it's my life
Adventure Time
come on, grab your friends
I always keep mine close
even Simon, the king of ice
even Simon, with his crazy crowny weirdness
We'll go to very distant lands
I've traveled all over Ooo
I've seen a lot of things
I've done some stupid things
but I'm a hero just the same
Jake the dog
well Jake is my brother, I couldn't ask for anyone better
Fin the Human
Well let me formerly introduce myself
I am Fin the Human
the fun will never end
Even with the random and crazy things
that happen to me
that happen in the land of Ooo
that exist in the world I live in
the fun never ends
I enjoy every single second
Adventure Time
Welcome to my life

Poem of the Day

poet Emily Dickinson

"Arcturus" is his other name—
I'd rather call him "Star."
It's very mean of Science
To go and interfere!

I slew a worm the other day—
