Adulteration

Mathematics
A flow of learning
Solves with regular practice
And by application of mind.

So much application of mind
In mathematics may affect
Social process of living.

One day my daughter
Sat before the mathematics book
To workout the ratio of mixture
Water mixed with milk
To give twenty percent profit
Or gold mixed with cupper
To give thirty percent profit
How much will be the ratio?

My daughter’s question is
Why we adulterate
Milk with water
Or gold with cupper
Should not we stay
Without adulteration?

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

Conscience is instinct bred in the house,
Feeling and Thinking propagate the sin
By an unnatural breeding in and in.
I say, Turn it out doors,
Into the moors.
