Addiction Poem by DANIELLE CHAMBERS

Addiction

As I sit here and watch the rain and the thunder, addiction has taken you so far under.Watching you go through this hurts me inside, awaiting the hospital to say (your mother just died) .Even if you wonted to I dont think you would quit.Knowing darn well that you are sick.Your son need your love, but you are not able to give.Been in prison 16 years and never ask how he feels. You lost everything you had, now I'm the only thing you got.GOD how do you tell your mother to stop? So here I am with my faith and my heart, Saying dont let addiction tare you apart.
