Adam Poem by Maryanne Richards

Adam

Rating: 5.0

A light withdrawn
To a realm of peace and love
Unthinking the words came while gazing
Over the place he loved to play.

His special place had shut down,
Innocence was gone
And there was this huge sense of loss.

In later days the birds would come,
They missed his loving ways.
The trees stand alone,
No longer does he shake
The leaves and talk wordlessly
And like the stones, sand and flowers,
Each time it was new.

There was no comparison, no greed,
No hate, no fear,
There was no speach to communicate,
But love shone through,
Wordless, timeless,
There was now.
He was Adam and he was five.
