Adam Poem by James Hart

Adam

'Dust thou art and
Unto dust thou shalt return'

No parents
No grandparents
An only-child
A lonely child?

No name
Just fame
Called 'mankind'
From clay-kind

A farmer
A sower
An earth-man
A worker

From Edenic bliss
(He missed the kiss)
To temporal loss
(He won the toss) .

Thankfully,
'A second Adam to the fight
And to the rescue came'
