Across The Room Poem by Thembi ngadlela

Across The Room

Across the room
From across the room
I felt his presence haunting mine
But I ignored,
From across the room
I saw him smile
Little by little I was charmed,
From across the room
His aura was masking my soul
Chemistry reacted and a conversation sparked,
From across the room
I literally saw the man of my dreams
From across the room
I had fallen in love

Oh but he did not know
The torture I was going through
As I saw his eyes,
His eyes were electrifying
His smile was burning my heart
Little did he know how I was dying to see his lips move... From across the room

From across the room
He moved, he moved right next to me
My heart pounded in bit rates as his voice uttered out of his mouth, words glided from his lips to my ears, I felt music and wanted to dance n swing my hips to the rhythmic elements of his words

He was no longer across the room
But across my heart
Words exchanged
Life stories told
An attraction already developed
An interest' n matters of the heart activated
I think am in love
Arguments in my head
Went on and on debating and questioning should I tell him how I feel?
Should I?

Coz I love him,
cross my heart hope to die
With these feelings I cannot lie
But I don't want him to know
And I hope my heart will not show
That I am in love with a guy
Right from across the room
