Across My Empty Beaches Poem by Minnie Gehrig

Across My Empty Beaches

Rating: 2.2

the webs we weave,
love n deceit
pulling back in forth
firmly there little lines,
lies shining in the sunlight,
invisible except the faint glimmer,
seen beneath the naked eye,

n we pour into each other
n then we pull away,
sands picked up by the tides,
lost in the pouring forth
reality leaching like blood..
pooling from the pours
n collecting..............

tragic silences,
plastic laughter,
why cant we be comfortable together
n our uncontrolled sadnesses?

n now we shall not see each other for days,
sunrises n sunsets bleeding together,
while thoughts of you pound against my mind like
collasal tidal waves pulling in and out
of anger n longing,
spewing trinkets seashells of memory
across my empty beaches
