Acid-Base Balance Poem by Lindsay Jacobson

Acid-Base Balance

Rating: 4.5

Burning soul crept along
Caustic heart learned a new song
Lured by your melody, but I only brought discord
The missing component to the felony,
apologies ignored
Basic nature neutralized acidic nomenclature
The chemical reaction had a catalyst for attraction
I hope the salt didn't put a sour spin on your mind
Oblivion to the memory may just leave you blind
Perspicuity of the thought recoiled at the obscurity that you brought
Acid is the base of indefinite space
Some dreams are encased in this limited place
With the equation unknown and all our seeds sewn
We look past the malice and see the Acid-Base Balance
