I looked into the abyss;
Into darkness so deep.
Even when I was awake,
Inside I was asleep
Then I looked and I saw
A new way before me;
A chance to soar.
My life could now be saved;
A new stage, a grand change
Something new was in the day
At last I was free from the cage.
Then I looked and I saw
A new way before me
A new day and a new shore.
