Absence Poem by Tracey Kay

Absence

An ocean taunts our sweet hello
Relentless is the ebb and flow
A turmoil in the depths below
Yet I belong to you

Ever the moon dictates the tides
The cruel sea our union chides
Where Neptune on his throne presides
Still I belong to you

A minstrel frames a life in songs
A lovers tale in many tongues
How distance our lament prolongs
When I belong to you.
