Absence Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Absence

Rating: 5.0

The train-
Steamed off
Off the eyes
Emitting
Nostalgia and
A pin drop
Silence
In tranquility
At the platform
Circling round
Still the mind
Celebrating
Jolly company
Chatting
Same manner
Amused-
Laughing
And smiling
As the way
Chuckling
And giggling
Cuddling
And hugging
Holding so tight.
The heart
Making appeals
Stay please stay
For some time
Some time more
A day or two
Who wou’d care?
For you‘re gone
Have to live
All alone.
In a soothing
Tone-
In stillness
Thereupon
A cute reply
As if, heard-
Don’t have
The feelings
Any way
Sweet-heart
O’ my darling!

The tempest
Arousing
A squall
Of uproars
In deafness
Shouting
And bursting
Into tears
Resisting
The departure
And emotions
Over cast
So strong
Controlling
Them all alone
Standing still
At the platform
But-
The train h’d gone.

Over cast
So strong
Controlling
Them all alone
Standing still
At the platform

Beautifully sad and nostalgic, touches my heart with sorrow. Very well written, silently poignant. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
