Abraham's Division Poem by Chris Lane

Abraham's Division

Rating: 5.0

Abraham's division stood poised
Ready for the kill
For god had given his children (based on abstract mythology)
The right to reclaim the lands once deeded to them.

The night air chopped no silence did it know -
Apache's blades cutting! a familiar sound the enemies children had come to know!
With Chain guns loaded, all
Hellfire rocket pods were locked.

Within this clatter from out of nowhere, five delta winged aircraft did appear
Neatly flying in V formation, soon did disappear.
The squeaking clacks of endless tracks moved forward towards their prize
Abraham's division departing to claim their perceived birth right.

The enemies children will fall
defenseless during this offensive
As the semi-nomadic wanders
Claim full resident-alien status

As the dust settled, the sounds were almost gone
Off in the distance the night sky lit - followed a terrible boom.
Surely that was god smiling before the devil applauded.
