About Bamboo - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

About Bamboo - Lincoln Park Zoo

I am a red panda. My kind
Hail from China, and mainly eat
All of the bamboo we can find
To give us nutrients complete.
Cuz cellulose we can't digest,
And bamboo is so full of it.
Chew on this - we do our best,
So as to stay healthy and fit.
We are a mammal made to climb
About the trees with special skill,
Using the best of space and time
For what we need of bamboo fill.

Food is good at Lincoln Park Zoo,
With nutrients, without bamboo.
