Abba

never met a man who could handle
the light and the dark
the intense emotions
then times of nothingness
great joy no room could hold
pain, the kind people fear
ability to pull so close
then turn and postpone the tears
days nothing is remembered

the only one I know
strong enough to hold
me through all this
is God
