A Writing Wish For All Poem by Obed dela Cruz

A Writing Wish For All

Rating: 4.8

(original version)

Write my friend, O write without vanity.
Let your writings make you and others smile
And make your time, ink, and paper worthwhile.
Write for the better of humanity.

May you have lavish peace and happiness,
So that you can write and bust off sadness.
Let your writings destroy the world’s sad worlds.
This time, let the heavens smile at your words.

When you write, don’t be bound to traditions
For you to complete your writing missions.

(below is the edited version) (edition is done with the help of Mr. Luke Easter)

Write my friend, Oh write without vanity but with hope,
Let your writings make you & others smile, able to cope,
Allow your time to make your ink and words worthwhile.
Write for the better of humanity in an unimpressive style.

May you always have lavish peace for unforeseen happiness,
So you will write and bust off sadness replaced by a kiss,
Let your words destroy the world’s sad independent state,
This time, let the heavens smile at your words as we wait.

When you scribe be not bound to tradition but essay anew,
Complete your writing, pen in hand, only as you are able to,
Don’t let influence of sorrow creep
sordidly in from the past,
Dare the present be unable to stand failure not meant to last.

Mr. Luke Easter is really a very kind man to help you with this piece. I do love your original work, and so with Sir Luke's. I love how you put your words here. Nicely penned. I love it..A very inspiring piece.
