A World Of Film Poem by Joyce Hemsley

A World Of Film

British-American Movie Director
~ Sir Alfred Hitchcock ~
born in London eighteen ninety-nine
died in Los Angeles nineteen-eighty.
Knighted shortly before his death.

Educated in England, Alfred Hitchcock
often referred to as master of suspense,
became Director of Motion Pictures
making silent and sound films of the era.
He travelled to America at age forty,
continuing his career with much success,
and within sixteen years Sir Alfred became
an American citizen.
This great genius once said...
'I'm a philanthropist ~ I give people
what they want; people love being
horrified and terrified.'

It cannot be denied - himself he
has well described... his legacy is
ours forever. And It is with much
pleasure we now honour his great name.
~ Sir Alfred Hitchcock ~

has well described.
