A Word Of Trust Poem by Meena Mustafa

A Word Of Trust

Rating: 5.0

How I remember your presence with me

Those memories are now haunting me

The room so empty and none I find

Why did you leave me so far behind?

I no longer remain to sweep the floor

And collect the trash you left at the door

Looking at the windowpanes now covered with dust

Makes me feel I will no longer trust

For when things look blur you no longer see

An image so clear that could hardly be

But in this world it's all the same

Who to trust and who to blame?

It isn't always easy to trust, especially when one has been hurt. Excellently penned verse.
