A Woman Scorned Poem by Riya Gangwar

A Woman Scorned

Aimlessly she drifted
from one man to the next
insanity overtook reason
she preyed upon the lust of men.
She reeled them in like squirming fish
she trapped them with her bait
hooked on passion
they resisted too late.
Their fate was in her hands
they obeyed her every command
caught in a net of entrapment
they tried to swim to land.
Slowly they drowned
as she circled around
holding them captive
vengeance accomplished.
