A Winter Wonderland Poem by Chiteki Burosammu

A Winter Wonderland

Wind shrieks through the trees
Leaving a trail of icy despair
In the freezing December air

At the break of dawn
We rush out to greet the lawn
Covered in a soft blanket of snow

Hooray! Hooray!
No school today!
We yell as our lips turn blue

To our delight
We start a fight
As balls fly across the yard

And when we're ice cubes in jackets
We rush inside to drink hot cocoa
School's tomorrow! Oh no!
