A Whist Of Consciousness Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

A Whist Of Consciousness

The mind
conveys the kind of consciousness
and of time; consciousness is governed
in its growth; leading the life, recording
as one rises and falls…
In its movement
of growth in the chaotic
living orchestra of exist
multidimensional perceptions constantly
strive against the sub-consciously
irregular phases experienced…
It is imperative to understand
that in what is taken from
the cryptic wisdom of humankind
comes life’s canvas; from the layers
by the clock, where birth and death plays…
That doubled atom within the genome
camouflaged by anxieties, fears, and fragilities
lives and breathes its will against
each and every one of US
dismissing US as irrelevant and ridiculous
beings focused upon the ludicrous
subjected to a lifelong drift
dazed and confused and dissed…
And the each of US continue to accept this?
Think I will go have a whist
and clear my consciousness…

postscript:

The truth is we change without ceasing...there is no essential difference between passing from one state to another and persisting in the same state. If the state which 'remains the same' is more varied than we think, [then] on the other hand the passing of one state to another resembles—more than we imagine—a single state being prolonged: the transition is continuous. Just because we close our eyes to the unceasing variation of every physical state, we are obliged when the change has become so formidable as to force itself on our attention, to speak as if a new state were placed alongside the previous one. Of this new state we assume that it remains unvarying in its turn and so on endlessly.

Aloha Kelly... Thank you my friend for this visit, read, and most interesting comments... most of our readership would not admit to having more than a primary read to a single post... short of simplifying any further what is within this post... how would you approach this subject and the points therein? All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two
