A Whisper Without Faith Poem by charlotte marie peachey

A Whisper Without Faith

i remember happy days
when we were young
playing in the hot summer rays
that came from the hot summer sun
we would play in the park
where as kids we would laugh and lark

i remember the days
when the bright sun shone
as we played our mischievous games
but alas those days are gone
now there is no sun
and my torment has begun
and there s nothing you can do
this time you cant help me through

i reach out my hand
so you can take me from this land
to shelter me from this torment and turmoil
you were always there, so kind..... so loyal

to you i cannot lie
i wish i could dance
i wish i could fly
im stuck in my head
in this unforgiving trance

i know you love me
that ive always seen
but if you cannot set me free
what good are you to me

i wish i could dance
i wish i could fly
get out of this trance
and bid you goodbye
