A Wasted Self Poem by Samanyan Lakshminarayanan

A Wasted Self

Rating: 4.8

If i were the water-
I would'nt have wasted myself-
in a flood.
If i were the wind-
I would'nt have wasted myself-
in a storm.
Iam human
Iam confined within myself
My smiles are measured.
Even if i cry- i try to
achieve what i need.
I have fixed my boundaries.
Iam confined within myself.

Even if it were a worldly waste-
I should have expressed myself
I should'nt be wasting my very self
without expressing myself.
Where do i start?
What do i become? -
to waste myself voluntarily.

Finding self and purpose in Life can sometimes take a Lifetime, it is the question in all minds. We exist beyond Human physical limitation. Your poem is thoughtful and questioning it has a nice flow that reads easily. I Like it......10

This is a unique piece because that is really what you strive for so as not to lose yourself among the other humans, water to flood, wind to storm deep and profound. voted a 7

Seems you are an Asamanyan... To confine oneself within One should have a vision within To have a vision within One should have scope within To have a scope within One has to be Human. Good subject. Thank you.

You may say it a cognitive dissonance. we all have a thought like this in different shape. 'At last we say, we came, lived and suffered together.'
