A Wake-Up Call Poem by Dave Cole

A Wake-Up Call

As I pace back and forth along the plank of life,

Death whispers solemnly in solitude.

'Hear me old fool of folly as I draw to my realm

So that you're no longer so...'

I pause and I realize the length at best

Is a shortening shortened end!
