A Waiting Heart Poem by Ankoku Gekido

A Waiting Heart

Rating: 3.8

A waiting heart
Is one full of sorrow
A waiting heart
Is one rarely seen
For hearts rarely wait
For hearts are impulsive
But there are a few
That would wait for eternity
And I have one
My heart is waiting
For the one I so adore
To come back to me
So my heart no longer weeps
So that I can rest in peace at last
Were I a wraith
It would be his call that would drag me into the great abyss
That would call me to eternal slumber
However
We are not wraiths
We are merely human
With human hearts
But my heart is pure
And my soul strong
So I will wait
Like a wraith
Waiting for the call of the gods
To lay in peace and happiness
For all eternity
