A View Of My Lovely Mother Land Poem by Abdul Wahab

A View Of My Lovely Mother Land

Yesterday I had to travel a distance long
So I got up early and at a garage caught a bus
Recently bought and colored deep green
The road in front was laid smooth and wide
And the car was moving with break neck speed
While the mild breeze was kissing my sleepy face
For the first time I felt our lovely mother land
So sweet and delicate so beautiful and fresh

On the road men and women were very few
And the morning was cool as the heat was less
From the transparent glass-window what a view
It must be great to gaze on fields animals to graze
At that moment my life took its own worth to be there
And the delight my heart got now I am out of phrase
To tell you why I hadn't realized before, the beauty of her
From my eyes how she slipped away now I sit and wonder.
