A Very Disturbed Street Poem by Dorsey Baker

A Very Disturbed Street

killjoy
the dark and dirty street is
speaking in an angry tone
of voice
calling to the wind
as it sweeps across the sky
filthy thoughts fill the air
distrust and dismay
no appearance
of peace and calm
forsaken empty words
give no comfort
the heart is broken
into a million jagged
pieces and cast into
the belly of the icy sea.
