A Verse A Chant Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

A Verse A Chant

A verse
A chant
So small
And yet
This night
My heart
Your heart
Our hearts
It trapped.

You don't tell us about the origin or nature of this VERSE, CHANT but rather its impact. It touches your heart, your companions's heart, and they become united - OUR HEARTS - because of that verse in the night. You use the verb TRAPPED but this seems to be a positive use of the word. It's a happy trap in be in.!
