(((A Ubiquitous Love Game))) Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

(((A Ubiquitous Love Game)))

Rating: 3.9

Quite contrary to the love you that wrote to me...
You have toyed with my psyche--
Running me down, indirectly...
'With untruths and inaccuracies'
Leaving me unable to defend myself...
In your well of superimposed lies...
All: 'rumor and inuendo'...
From long ago-ancient days--
Days when adolescents overpowered we adults...
Disappointed and promising revenge on me...
Yet you dare write to me of love---!
You play and toy with my feelings...
Your cruelty and insincerity--
Are glaring at me...
They have been uncovered--
Out of your hiding place...
Overwhelmed by the powerful--
Light of our God!
You are exposed for what you are...
I seek no revenge...
No libel yet...
'Only absolute TRUTH'
Your slanderous hints have killed -
Any hopes for you...
In your ubiqitous love game.
