A turn in the road

49 and counting
Is the way
It is
50 is soon knocking
Had a life of
Challenges, fought through
Many fears
Its a new day now
Many things completed
Much more to do
Yet somehow at 50
Here comes a new you
It hasn't been easy
Sometimes there's
Absolutely no clues
Although the Life
You lead,
In the eyes of
Others, isn't
what actually
Defines you
To thy own self
Be true

Poem of the Day

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
