A Turn About Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A Turn About

Rating: 5.0

Your eyes have deserted you and vision is blurred
Ears too have given the way with no faint idea of murmur
Feet crumble under the weight and can’t inch forward
There is no way left but to think and go downward

How to count those lost moments?
Why to shed for all past movements?
No particular good things to remember
Leave as refugee among the family members

You have no time left to make about turn
You have gone weak to run
What else you can do now?
The question remains to be seen where and how?

Who will you take with?
What will you try to seek?
The time has reduced from months to weeks?
You may witness fall from highest peak?

It is self created agony
It was all mad rush for money
What did I get at the end?
Everything is lost including friends

I fear my end journey may not go well
People may have enough complaints tot tell
It is proving difficult and living hell
I did everything including soul to sell

I may not taken well by anybody
I have alienated and annoyed everybody
I did care for self and beautiful body
I pretended that I was happy and moody

It doesn’t go well all the way
Sometimes you will have to dearly pay
They may neglect you completely to your dismay
You may think your self useless for further stay

Such is state of affair when you are left alone
It is such tragedy and condition after cyclone
It is battle and must be fought as lone
You may cut sorry figure with aching bone

You had enough time to recover and act
You neglected and did not pay attention to fact
You considered yourself as immortal
This only proved as mistake and very fatal

You never pay attention when tide is in favor
You big mistakes will be taken as minor
You may continue to live under false pride
The fact may remain fact but you may try to hide

It is not the time to retrieve the situation
There is also no time to for fine equation
It is time to go for honest salvation
Remember Him in those moments for elevation

It is easy to count in prayers all misdeeds
They may serve as solace with good feeds
Seek the true and easy way for remorse
You may not feel let down by force
