A Tulip Cup Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

A Tulip Cup

Rating: 5.0

I always start my day with steaming hot tea
Today, I reached for a cup from my collection
My direction was guided to one with tulips
'Nature is forever unfolding new delights, '
Is written among the flowers and leaves…

Butterflies of yellow gently light
Upon delicate colors of open petals
Forming cups filled with glowing sunlight
Each stemmed marvel is glorious sight
Bearing a message of spring that excites

A chalice filled with a renewing guarantee
A forecaster of more green growing things
Surrounded with warmth and gentle assurance
Spotted by an orange ebony dotted lady bug
Serenaded to by the humming of a bumblebee
