A true friend always stays with us
He will pray to God for Him to bless

He will look not friendship as cheap
Upon us, kind acts, he will ever heap

He will respect our heart and feelings
He will support us in all our dealings

He will stay when our life goes bad
He will stop us from becoming mad

Our sorrows will give him shivers
All needed goods, he just delivers

For our debts, he borrows and pays
At all times, his love, he displays

When we weep, he will wipe of tears
He will make us sleep removing fears

A chance to help, he will always demand
He will obey strictly each of our command

He will not be a friend to our critics
And those playing against us tricks

In a nutshell, a friend is the best support
He is our favorable witness in any court.
