Friendship is the flower of the seed of trust,
And a faithful friend in the world is a must.
Friends will come dozens by the score,
And acquaintances will be far far more.

Countless memories of broken friendships will cloud your vision,
And to choose a good friend is very difficult decision.
But he who will to you lend an eager ear,
To whom you can pour out your doubts and fears.
He who is overjoyed at your success.
But who even comforts you in your distress.
He whose very sight makes you glad,
But who also protects you from all that’s bad.
He who is witty, unassuming and kind,
No other person in this world is harder to find.

He who accepts you just the way you are,
And when you need him is never too far.
He whose smile lifts you from the blues,
He who never expects perfection from you.
He who fills happiness in your heart,
Whom you keep from the rest apart,
He who is with you from the beginning to the end,
That’s the definition of a True Friend.
