A Trouble In Offing Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A Trouble In Offing

Rating: 4.8

It didn’t trouble me when she said” I love you”
It also didn’t bother me when she repeated “I hate you”
It didn’t surprise me when she smilingly said” I need you”
It altogether sent me in shock when she said” I need you”

Where was I heading for and what was in store?
I had read many instances and had read this before
This was proving something like bolt from blue
But nonetheless it was unfortunately right and very true

Well, it was almost like fairy’s tale and floated before eyes
Innocent face was troubling me and her elegant way of telling bye
What was her sense of putting it straight to me without for any answer?
Well it may be real test of time and may be happening with only fewer

Real moon shine and twinkle stars did not appeal me much
I was not in trouble but in fact had not thought over for such
I don’t what did she read in me and came forward with proposal
What was I expected to deliver for its quick disposal?

I looked at vast horizon and wondered for the natural magic
All birds and animals had sound sleep and some insects made music
I restlessly moved around for answer but found no way out
I decided not to slip off the opportunity and to think about

I don’t know whether it is ethical or against the natural law
Why at all it should result into straining of relation or develop thaw?
It must be taken as any other relationship resulting into bond
I felt for her immensely as fish may be finding it in pond

I carefully weighted the pro and cons and decided to give it fair try
It never occurred to me for any other reason and felt shy
Some of the questions should never be asked for why?
If it was the destiny then I must try for strong wings to fly

I had no way to look backward and analyze the situation
I dreamt of healthy and fine relation barring infatuation
It was lovely linkage for better tie up and understanding
Though situation was little awkward and more demanding

I hope and pray that it should mushroom and find the day’s light
It must be mutually advantageous and to the everybody’s delight
Love is after all God’s gift and can’t be had at paying prize
I accept it as simple divine shower and happily summrize

‘…Love is after all God’s gift and can’t be had at paying prize I accept it as simple divine shower and happily summarize ‘ Fabulous finish … true Love now-a-days is as rare as pure Heart We’ve lost that heart and ….egoic [selfish] with preponderance of egotism… I’m the best … Before marrying or falling in love we must read good poems as primer to make us receptacle of Love 10++

Wow, this poem is really deep, and I absolutly love it! It is something that I'm sure people go through, but just don't relize it. The fact that you could see what was going to happen in a way, but still keeping it quiet was amazing!
