A Town Like This Poem by Alex Kult

A Town Like This

The one idea that's always hoisted
That's talked about with lowered voices
A story made with too many twists
A secret hanging on everyone's lips
'Bad things happen in a town like this
It's a relief when it happens to one we won't miss'
It's safer to stuff the truth in your pocket
To hide the skeletons in your closet
Stay in your homes and lock your doors
A town like this will be no more
