A Touch Poem by Rose Marie Cook

A Touch

His touch lingers
On my skin
His kiss upon
My lips

Her voice echoes within
Touches my soul
her fingers soft like silk
Embedded in my mind

A light kiss
A soft touch
A sweet scent
Pulls me in

His hand lingers
At my neck
His lips already
Found mine

Her breath at
my ear
A sweet caress
I know is near

He ties the rope
Secure and tight
I know it's useless
To start a fight

She smiles sweetly
It's all a joke
They tape my mouth
And light the smoke

He feasts upon my neck
Bites in and licks
He pushes me hard
His fingers start to prick

She takes her turn
She hits so hard
Night after night
It no longer hurts

Tears well up
They know what's coming
They lock me up
To stop the yelling

Trapped inside
This lonely cave
Until they want me
Once again

A touch lingers
On my skin
She whispers sweetly
Deep within
