~a Title Is Too Narow Poem by Mishaal Javed

~a Title Is Too Narow

I am not quite,
I am loud
The characteristics I present are merely obnoxious,
Annoying
My answers are many
My questions-many more.
But if I were a beast walking on all fours
I would taste the raw earth with my feet
and let silence surround and caress me
Inhale winds frosty breath and
muse with the trees,
paint with natures pallet
The grass and the leaves my permanent home
But my heart is void-it has no depth
I am a witness to my very own words and actions
An outsider looking in
The memories not mine
But they are still lingering
What is this?
Words are words
And actions louder
If the words were blurred would that make them bare?
Stripped off emotion,
emotions stripped off words
We give meaning to things because we are vain
We are all liars.
Our lies circling and circling,
mingling and circling
until truth is all but lost
So when the boundaries between lines fade
The truth is revealed:
I Am A Hypocrite.
