*a Time Traveller From Future Years!

A TIME TRAVELLER FROM
FUTURE YEARS!

I had once met a time traveler from future years,
With a streamlined body and no lobes for ears!
But he made me feel comfortable and I was
without any fears!

He told me about a world beyond the Milky Way
galaxy,
Which all our space probes have failed to detect
or see!
A world fully transparent where light could pass
through,
A marvelous world where past became alive, -
and what have you? !
Where wishes were horses and you could take a
ride,
And you could meet your loved ones from the past, -
as if they were all alive!

You could see there your old grandmother knitting
away,
And your grandfather nodding beside her during
the day!
You could speak to them gently and they would
reply,
You could even hear grandmother telling you to
drink your milk, -
To be brave, and not feel shy!
You could see your dead relatives and your long
lost friends, -
Whose funerals you failed to attend, and could
now seek to make amends!
You could even meet your old gardener who brought
flowers for you,
Those flowers you had loved, when you told him
thank you!
You could complete all your unfinished dialogues
there,
Giving vent to your bottled -up feelings, which
you could readily share!
There you are given a second chance to show your
unexpressed love,
And seek their forgiveness for the last time, -
in that magic world above!

I asked my time traveler to take me along with him,
But I was required to die first to accompany him! !
But why have you come here, just to show me your
face?
He told me to be patient and trust in God’s grace!
Like you I too wanted to travel to my distant past, -
With the good Lord’s blessings, in Him I always
trust!
I wanted to meet that person while he is still alive,
Who’s soul after death would become solely mine!
With which I will get my re-birth on this earth -
at a future date, -
As desired by God and destined by fate!

this is an amazing composition. nobody in all honesty can say that if only one could turn the clock back, one would not do things differently. through endearing, familiar images, Raj you made me nostalgic and also sad. who wants to travel back in time or in future- life is here and now, give your best to your loved ones. you excel in both serious as well what you like to call writing in lighter vein. pleasure to read your work. 10++ Mamta
