A Time Of Recognition Poem by Michael Hopkins

A Time Of Recognition

Rating: 5.0

Language
Is words created
To describe a Reality
That is indescribable
A Reality
That does not fit into
The framework of images
Created by man
Created to cloud
To confuse
To lead us astray
From what we
Really are
And
Why we came to exist
How we came to exist
Here upon this world
We call
The earth
It has other names
And
For now
Earth
Will it be called
Language is a device
Created to mask
The voice of ones heart
The voice of Creation
The direct experence of Life
Instead
We are given images
That distort
That corrupt
That enslave
Mankind
To a dull existence
One meant to control
And
Hinder creativity
And
Imagination that flows
Naturally
From Nature to Man
And
From the Divine to Man
Then from Man
To others within the human family
A natural process
Distorted
To
Enslave and Control
Rather
Than to liberate
And
Enrich
Yes
A sorry state of affairs
Until
The day
The veil is so tattered
Then
Finally Torn
And Mankind
Will See the Reality
Behind
That which has been hidden to all
Only seen by a few
A time of reckoning
A time of recognition
A time of joy
A time when dark images
Will be replaced
By a Reality of Light
A Reality formed from Love
