A Thousand Steps Poem by Allian Bern Fuentes

A Thousand Steps

There's a place in the world you can't see but feel
Every gate is a question to make it real
There lying a truth of your real reflection
The key to get there is your affection

Every step has a nightmare
If you can't wake up, it would burn you down
If you would fall down, you can't touch the crown
A thousand steps that you should bow
If you turn your back you'd be worthless
If you face in front you're defenseless

I was there in it's foundation
But I didn't pace the race to pass the test
Instead I quit and find a place to rest
A place they best say God's nation
