A Thought That Made Me Angry Poem by Riitta Gyllenbogel

A Thought That Made Me Angry

there was a thought
that made me angry,
nothing to do with your words,
just a fantasy, or a fallacy,
a little glitch in my
understanding of my self
having taken hold of my imagination
this thought did proceed to make me feel
angry.
projected the anger for a moment at you,
before realizing: it’s only my own imagination.
like all anger,
washed away with
just a few more thoughts
I am again at peace with my folly
