A Teensy Fly Poem by Glen Kappy

A Teensy Fly

from 'Wonderful and Wise'

While reading a poem
on my computer screen

a teensy fly
as weightless as a dust mote

wings which fluttered
at the slightest breath

for just a moment lit on it
before he lifted off again

and with him
my attention.

a teensy fly as weightless as a dust mote wings which fluttered at the slightest breath for just a moment lit on it before he lifted off again - - - The little marvels around us catch our attention before we engage in mundane duties. A short and beautiful poem with wise thoughts.

thank you, bharati. and i like your phrase little marvels. while our attention can be so focused on what is called news, God is unceasingly at work in the world through nature and neighbors and us. -gk

Focused our attention so subtly again on a little marvel of creation. Nice one, Glen! Do you know that? I also wrote a poem about a fly? It's called The Riddle.
