Dilantha Gunawardana
A Teatime Kiss
Convergent destinies
Of twin sappy croissants of flesh
That entwine the aroma of your breadth
A blend of cinnamon and chamomile
With the endearing lipstick
Of your luscious honey-laden lips
Strewn with Bergamot marmalade
As two magnetized eyes capture
The eternity of a confectionery gaze
Enticing tears of molten butter
Down hemispheres of coated pastry
Sprinkled with dainty strawberries
To entangle a deep-rooted romantic
To the succulence of a magical fantasy
Of a tea-time kiss
